Consider an organization using a wiki as their knowledge accumulator. Little bits of research, project details, documents are caught in it. Consider a Jabber bot. What if the Jabber bot could search through the wiki for you to reply knowledgeably to a question whose answer may be find in the wiki?

It's funny, but I was just thinking about this idea a couple of days ago. The project team that I'm part of has a significant problem in that we have a large code base and often end up with duplication of utility code. At least once a week someone "discovers" a piece of code that someone else wrote which they could have reused but had already coded themselves. I've already gotten everyone using Jabber and I had already gone down the road of beginning to think about introducing a Wiki. At some point, I guess, this idea was bound to occur to me. I guess it's time to set up the jabber bot and Wiki and see where my hacking leads.
