Even Less About Ajax

Has anyone noticed that the subsequent products at ajaxLaunch have been even less about Ajax than ajaxWrite was? I mean, ajaxOS? Sounds like .mac with a XUL launcher. The shame is that that’s got potential to be cool, but not by co-opting the Ajax buzz.

Monkeying with Scifipedia

The SciFi Channel webmasters have launched Scifipedia, based on MediaWiki. Unfortunately, in my opinion, they’ve destroyed much of the usability offered by the out-of-box template. Just try finding the “Recent Changes” page. So, I was annoyed enough to crack open a text editor and give it the Greasemonkey treatment: [...]

Playing with Wii

Yeah, they renamed it, but I’m just going to keep calling it the Revolution. Yes, I realize this means I’m a moron. :)

Geotagging Flood on del.icio.us

S3AjaxWiki got noticed

So, it looks like a few people have noticed my S3AjaxWiki experiment. From my referrers, I caught a mention on Shelley Powers’ Burningbird, Ajaxian, and Memeorandum. I’ve since caught a few more pointers here and there. As I poke my head in from time to time, I keep waiting for something to go [...]

More on S3AjaxWiki

So, I’ve put some more work into my S3 AJAX wiki, first mentioned Friday night. After some Virtual PC sessions, editing seems to be working on Firefox and MSIE on Win. Safari and any other browsers not amenable to PUT and DELETE in XmlHTTPRequests will not find joy in editing – but the [...]

An S3 AJAX Wiki

So, who knows how long it’ll stay up – or if it even works for anyone besides me in Firefox on OS X – but I’ve got an initial version of an S3Ajax-based wiki: http://s3.amazonaws.com/s3wiki/wiki/StartPage [...]
