You know what? If they want to protect their steaming piles so badly, they can keep them. I’ve paid more attention and been more entertained by non-DRM, indie sources lately than anything else. I only expect that to grow.

I’m almost fine with this, if it can be done in a way that only affects the content of groups who want to opt into this bullshit. Don’t cripple devices in the general case, just for the case of these morons. Let their industry commit suicide.

[...] Thanks to OxDECAFBAD for showing me this soul-sucking gallery of Demonic Tots and Deeply Disturbing Cuisine. Takes me back to my childhood. It reminded me a bit of a wonderful Bisquick cookbook that my mom had when I was a little bugger and which I kept as a reminder of what not to cook. I’ve pasted in some of the bizzare, violent little food drawings. My mom also had one of those “brand-name” cookbooks featuring such culinary delights as “Crown Roast of Hot Dog.” This little book did nothing at all to improve my mom’s dull English cooking. While I’m looking at OxDECAFBAD, it seems that Cingular is trying to trademark emoticons. Since despair.com has already trademarked the frownie :-( I believe we can expect some fireworks. [...]
